Awarded Contract for Nursing Care Service

The London Borough of Southwark has awarded a significant contract for nursing care home provision to Agincare Homes Holdings Ltd, valued at a total of £88.5 million. This procurement process was initiated to enhance nursing care services at the Tower Bridge Care Centre, located within the London jurisdiction.

The contract is aimed at providing high-quality nursing care services that focus on the residents' needs and preferences. Agincare Homes Holdings Ltd will operate the nursing care home and is expected to work closely with both health and social care professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for residents.

The nursing care home will cater primarily to individuals assessed by the Council who require accommodation in a nursing care home setting. The emphasis will be on maintaining a supportive and stimulating environment for residents, equipping them with the necessary care and support to lead fulfilling lives.

In the tendering process, only one bid was received, and the selection was based on criteria of quality and price, with a weight of 60% on quality. The contract also holds potential for extension for up to five additional years, indicating a long-term commitment to improving care services in the borough.
