Framework Agreement for Highways Services

West Sussex County Council has recently concluded a Framework Agreement aimed at delivering essential highways services across the region. This extensive contract includes multiple lots focusing on various aspects of road maintenance, from carriageway and footway resurfacing to infrastructure improvements and structural patching. The total estimated budget for the project is approximately £198 million, highlighting the significance of this initiative to enhance the county's infrastructure.

Contractors awarded under this agreement include notable companies such as Aggregate Industries UK Limited, Associated Asphalt Contracting Ltd, and FM Conway Limited, among others. These contractors are expected to efficiently manage the various lots allocated to them, ensuring that the services rendered meet the required standards of quality and efficiency. The contracts were awarded following a competitive tender process, with a total of 6 tenders received for most lots.

The agreement also allows for potential extensions of up to six years, reflecting the ongoing commitment of the council and its partner authorities to maintain and improve local road networks. This initiative also underscores the crucial role of public procurement in enhancing community facilities and services, thereby ensuring that the roads of West Sussex remain safe and accessible for all.
