New IT Service Contract Awarded in UK
VisitBritain/VisitEngland has successfully awarded a contract for the provision of an IT Service Desk, known as BTA2005, for an amount of £218,791. This service is designed to operate under a 'Follow the Sun' model or 'Extended Hours' service desk arrangement, ensuring support across 21 locations worldwide in addition to their Head Office based in London.
The awarded contractor, LITTLE FISH (UK) LIMITED, based in Carlton, will be responsible for delivering this essential service. The selection process saw a total of three tenders submitted. The awarding criteria focused primarily on quality, which accounted for 70% of the assessment, with the remaining 30% attributed to pricing. The contract was justified under the CCS Technology Services framework through competitive bidding.
This initiative is part of VisitBritain's broader mission to enhance operational efficiencies and improve service delivery within the tourism sector. The successful implementation of this contract is expected to significantly benefit the management of their IT resources and elevate service responsiveness across their international sites.
